Is Eion Morgan Decides to retire- whats the reason?

Eion Morgan has decided to retire from all forms of international cricket on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. He scores 10000 runs in ODIs and T20Is formats and also wins a WorldCup for the England team.

In the coming T20 WorldCup in Australia, Morgan had a wish that he lead England but due to fitness and form concerns, he decided to quit Egland cricket. In his last few innings, he successfully scored two half-centuries only.

Morgan scores 7701 runs for the Ireland team, after switching to the England team in 2009, he scores 6957 runs. His tenure of captaincy for England is seven years and his legacy will be recognized by his captaincy of white-ball cricket.

Before the 2015 world cup, he took captaincy from Alastair  Cook. But he didn’t do well in Worldcup and England team is exist at the hands of the Bangladesh team.  After that under the leadership of coach Trevor and Captain Morgan, England gets a big hitter and they won a world cup at Lord in 2019.

Eoin Morgan does captaincy 126 times in ODIs and 72 times in T20s. Two times he lead England in World Cup. In the 2016 WorldCup, the England team is a runner-up team and in 2022 they are semifinalists. In the Absence of Morgan Jos Buttler lead England 13 times and most likely he will be the next captain of the England team.

Moeen Ali, which is also played under Eion Morgan’s captaincy, shows his sadness. He also said that it’s strange to play without him. He also said that things will move on but you have to used to it but without him, it will be sad. More he said I am not surprised about Morgan’s decision because he is not a selfish person and he took this decision for his team. Please note that he played 95 out of 115 ODIs and 40 out of 49 T20s under Morgan’s captaincy.

“We’ve been so strong over the years and he probably feels like his time is done and that he’s given enough time for Jos, or whoever the captain is going to be, to embed his way,” said Moeen.
