Wasim Jaffer, a former India opener and the newly hired batting coach of Punjab Kings (PBKS), has chosen a surprising replacement for MS Dhoni as the captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
Four-time winners Chennai Super Kings (CSK) slammed the panic button following a poor start in the opening round of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 with newly-appointed skipper Ravindra Jadeja at the wheel. The Yellow Brigade was commanded by experienced gloveman MS Dhoni for the remainder of the season after Jadeja’s performance suffered a severe setback. Moving ahead to the present, the flamboyant coach of the Super Kings will take the helm of the Jadeja-starrer team in the upcoming campaign, which many anticipate to be his final appearance in the Indian Premier League.
With his “everything is good” statement and his attention on the “restart,” Jadeja applauded CSK for keeping their highest-paid player for the IPL 2023.
